Libby

Ah, a true native! I met Libby here on top of Mt Whitfield and she explained to me all about the Queensland National Park system. She was (maybe still is) a sheap shearer and general farm hand that just travelled around the territories when she felt like it, picking up work as she wanted. I later ran into her on the side of the road about 150 km north of Mt Whitfield at a scenic overlook, and then again saw her on the back end of a 4+ km trail another 50 km north of there, which is where this picture was taken. I'm headed back south now, but hopefully she'll email so I can convince her to come see the National Parks in the states.
