At the bottom of Grand Canyon (6/5/07)

...you'll find the Phantom Ranch Lodge. Having done the rim-to-river-to-rim in one day already, I have no desire to do it again. This is a very nice resting place, with a cool creek to wade in, a hearty meal for dinner, and a nice bunk to crash in.

International hotties (6/3/07)

Two Aussies and a Brit I befriended who were staying next door to me at my campsite. They were very cool - attempting a quick six week tour of the States. Their next stop was Abilene, TX. Abilene? Ain't nothing in west Texas but steers and...wait, they did say they were going for the steaks. Many thanks to you ladies for taking me to this super-special-secret sunset spot ;)

Edible? (6/3/07)

The title of this post is intended to gross you out even if the content doesn't. Any guesses? This greenish funky gunk is actually the result of me rubbing my finger across my leg, neck or arm. I think it's a combination of dirt, skin, sunscreen lotion, and maybe more skin. Mmm. This is me sitting in the parking lot at the National Geographic Visitor's Center after watching the Grand Canyon IMAX. Good, but $12.81 for a 35 minute show?

Friendly neighbors (6/2/07)

This is the super kind family next to me at my Grand Canyon campsite. They invited me for dinner not once but twice even! I had already eaten the first, but had a great burger the second night :) I was so inspired I grilled out brats the next night. MREs suck. I had forgotten what real food tastes like.

A picture of some asses (6/2/07)

Yup, I should be shot for the humor here, but I still think it's funny. I'll stand behind it *cough*. This, by the way, is on the Bright Angel Trail into the Grand Canyon. Somewhere off to the left there's a group of tourists with very sore asses. Wait, that was really unintentional.

Flagstaff Live! (5/31/07)

Here's DeMarco playing in the middle of downtown Flagstaff playing for 'Thursdays in the Square', a very cool free concert every week during the summer. It was cool, but a little to hippie folk. Of course, it could have just been me being fidgety about trying the rest of the beer I hadn't had yet...

Bruised and Boozed (5/28/07)

Here are my endover injuries. Let it be noted that I stopped here in the Beaver St. Brewery for a pint before heading to the ER. That's dedication on my part to the handcrafted beer! I was pretty thirsty after my spill.
