Tarantula! (5/19/07)

Found this guy trying to cross the road in Big Bend National Park. He's about the same size as my outstretched hand, believe it or not (and ladies, do I have big hands... ok, not really, but they're not small). Hard to tell with this picture, but I didn't exactly want to go in for the close-up...umm, I mean, I was trying to respect this protected part of the wildlife ecosystem's space.
